Description

The EU-wide initiative to promote national Cyber Hubs aims to establish or strengthen central contact points equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and capabilities for the detection, analysis, and sharing of cyber threat information. Public-law institutions or state-mandated bodies in the EU Member States, designated or established as National Cyber Hubs, may apply for funding of up to €2,000,000. A prerequisite is successful participation in the Joint Procurement Action as well as formal designation by the respective Member State. Eligible expenses include preparatory activities, cooperation with relevant stakeholders, operating costs, and the procurement of infrastructure and specialized tools. The application deadline is 28 May 2026, 17:00 CET.

The grant aims to create highly professional Cyber Hubs that function as clearing houses: they collect and aggregate data on cyber threats, apply state-of-the-art technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation processes, and thus provide all involved actors – from CSIRTs to ISACs and critical infrastructures – with timely and standardized alerts. Through operational networking at both national and cross-border levels, effective cyber solidarity is ensured. Interested institutions submit the standard application form (DEP), an Ownership Control Declaration, and the Member State’s designation decision via the e-funding platform.
