Description
The national co-funding Digital Europe – AGRISPACE in Vienna supports companies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations in co-financing the EU Digital Europe Programme. With a total budget of €0.375 million, projects are specifically promoted that establish a unified European agricultural data space. AGRISPACE acts as a central implementation project for the secure and trusted networking of agricultural data. Continuous submission allows for flexible application as long as the budget is not exhausted. Funding is exclusively granted to project partners already involved in the European Commission-initiated initiative “Deploying and operating a European framework for the secure and trusted data space for agriculture.” The funding type used is a direct grant to enhance the efficiency of research and innovation in the field of digitalization and to strengthen both the public and private sectors in Austria.
For a successful application, the submission of the original and fully signed application to the European Commission is required. Submission is made electronically via the FFG customer portal eCall. The deadline begins on February 2, 2026, and ends upon full exhaustion of the funding volume. The legal basis is provided by the FFG Offensive Directive 2024–2026 and EU Regulation 2021/694 implementing the Digital Europe Programme. The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management, within the Steering and Services Section – Digitalization Business Unit, has established the national co-funding to sustainably support the digital transformation in agriculture and to advance the development of a powerful agricultural data space in Europe.
