Description
The new beekeeper support program of the City of Villach assists private individuals with their main residence in the city area in training to become new beekeepers. In four practice-oriented courses, comprehensive knowledge for successful beekeeping is imparted, which makes an important contribution to environmental and nature conservation. As a subsidy, the city fully covers the course fee up to a maximum of €100. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing flexible planning of the training. This funding combines expertise from the areas of education & training, animal welfare, environmental and climate protection, while simultaneously promoting awareness of sustainable beekeeping.
Funding is granted to natural persons who can prove that they have lived in Villach for at least six months, have completed all four training courses, and whose last course was no longer than twelve months ago. Furthermore, a beehive must be registered within the municipal area or newly established within one year. To apply, a course attendance certificate and proof of payment must be submitted. Upon meeting all requirements, 100% of the costs will be covered. This funding is particularly suitable for nature and beekeeping enthusiasts who wish to deepen their knowledge and actively contribute to the protection of the local bee population.
