Description
The State of Lower Austria supports the professional further qualification of employed persons and start-ups through a special program co-financed by the ESF. The focus is on employment groups without a formal vocational qualification as well as persons threatened by unemployment. Vocational training and further education measures are funded with a subsidy rate of up to 90% of the course costs, up to a maximum of €3,000 per measure. The funds are transferred directly to the certified educational institution once participation with at least 75% attendance or a positive examination result is confirmed. Applications can be submitted no earlier than 13 weeks and no later than one day before the course start, enabling demand-oriented planning.
Eligible to participate are private individuals and sole proprietorships with their main residence in Lower Austria for at least six months – including employees with compulsory schooling qualifications, owners of small-scale businesses, persons with unrecognized foreign qualifications, recipients of childcare or further education allowances, as well as re-entrants and craft workers. A prerequisite is a pre-prepared education plan following impartial counseling, completion of the qualification measure at a CERT-NÖ/Ö-Cert-accredited institution, and German language skills at level B1. For application submission, a printed online form, the signed education plan, an ESF master data sheet, and an employer confirmation or proof of employment are required. By funding vocational learning objectives, the program sustainably contributes to securing employability and strengthening the regional labor potential.
