Lower Austria Football Academies

The Lower Austria Football Academies promote membership fees as well as earmarked contributions to competitive sports organizations in the sport of football based in the state of Lower Austria through a continuously accessible subsidy. The aim of the initiative is the sustainable strengthening of competitive football by financially relieving clubs and associations that are contractually or through membership connected to the state of Lower Austria. The funding supports the liquidity of these organizations by cushioning ongoing costs for the care and training of youth and elite athletes. Interested clubs can submit an informal application at any time to provide performance evaluations and financial plans to substantiate their eligibility for funding.

Applications must include a written, informal request for the disbursement of the membership or earmarked contribution, documentation of services already rendered and financial management (final accounts), as well as a presentation of planned activities and the associated financial planning (budget forecast). Only competitive sports organizations in the sport of football with headquarters in Lower Austria and contractual obligation or membership to the state of Lower Austria are eligible for funding. The funds are awarded directly by the Office of the Lower Austrian State Government, Department of Finance, F1. Submissions have been continuously possible since 01.01.2017, with consideration of applications based on timely written submission. The measure creates transparency and reliability through regular updates of disbursement amounts and offers clubs planning security for sporting excellence.
