Description
The emergency call phone funding program of the State of Lower Austria covers the rental costs for mobile emergency call phones to provide elderly, ill, or care-dependent persons with their main residence in Lower Austria, who live alone, with a maximum level of safety around the clock. A simple press of the radio transmitter on the wristband or necklace triggers an automatic emergency call, which first alerts close relatives or neighbors via stored numbers, and subsequently day-and-night staffed centers or rescue organizations. This ensures that help is provided quickly and effectively in an emergency – a crucial contribution to improving quality of life and relieving care and support systems.
Interested private individuals can submit applications continuously to authorized sponsoring organizations such as the Lower Austrian Hilfswerk, Volkshilfe Lower Austria, Caritas, or the Austrian Red Cross. A prerequisite for funding is proof of receiving care allowance, a household income within the specified limits, and a medical certificate confirming the medical need for an emergency call phone. The funding amount covers 100 % of the rental costs. For the application, proof of income, care allowance confirmation, and medical certificate are required. This subsidy offer continues indefinitely and enables reliable protection for particularly vulnerable groups.
