Description

Novum enables non-profit organizations and public institutions in Saxony to provide straightforward support for projects by young people aged 14 to 27. Committed youth groups, self-managed youth clubs, and youth initiatives receive grants of up to €1,500 across three funding lines. The focus is on the design of youth spaces (max. €500), the organization of events and activities (max. €750), and the establishment of new self-managed youth centers (max. €1,500). Applications can be submitted continuously; the jury usually makes its decision within four weeks. The 100% funding model covers material costs, renovations, initial equipment, and event expenses, supporting projects that are implemented in a sustainable and democratic manner and create real added value in the community.

Prerequisites for approval include a project that has not yet started, with a target group of adolescents and young adults, as well as ensuring broad accessibility for many young people. Double or multiple funding is excluded. Applications are submitted via the digital KIT and must include a fully completed application form, a budget plan, contact details, a fund disbursement form, a final report, and a list of receipts. Formalities such as the appointment of a mentor from the field of youth work or municipal administration ensure reliable support and payment to the organization’s account. Projects that are implemented free of discrimination and address local needs have particularly good chances of receiving funding. Additional documents and information sheets can be requested from the Saxon Youth Foundation.
