Description
The NRW.Venture Fund of NRW.BANK offers growth-oriented companies in North Rhine-Westphalia a strategic equity participation to successfully transition into the next phase of development. With an initial investment ranging from €1 to €5 million – expandable to a total of up to €15 million – the fund acts as a co-investor in attractive future sectors such as Climate Tech, AI, Life Sciences, Robotics, or Digitalization. The funding particularly supports projects aimed at building production capacities, expanding sales structures, market launches, opening new sales markets, and further developing innovative products and services. The flexible structure, through direct minority stakes or convertible loans, as well as a planned term of three to seven years, enables tailored financing strategies for the dynamic growth phase.
Eligible to participate are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with headquarters or a significant economic focus in North Rhine-Westphalia, which have successfully completed their early phase and have closed at least one previous funding round with another investor. According to a sound business plan, a positive operational cash flow should be achievable within a maximum of three years.
