Upper Austria Tourism

The funding is directed at the Upper Austria Tourism Organization and specifically supports the fulfillment of its core tasks as well as the implementation of innovative course catalog projects. As a continuous grant instrument of the State of Upper Austria, both personnel expenses and material costs for the development and maintenance of course catalog projects are financially supported. The goal is to sustainably strengthen regional tourism development, establish new offer formats, and enhance Upper Austria’s competitiveness as a destination. The allocated funds are uncapped and provide the organization with flexibility to advance strategic initiatives in the areas of consulting, business financing, and rural development.

To participate in the funding procedure, applicants must submit a fully completed funding application along with a detailed budget estimate prior to the project start. It must be ensured that all listed cost items—especially personnel and material expenses for course catalog projects—are transparently documented. The processing is carried out by the Department of Economy and Research of the Directorate for Regional Planning, Economic and Rural Development within the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government. Verification of receipts based on original invoices as well as, if necessary, on-site inspections by the funding agency are planned. With this transparently designed funding measure, applicants receive the necessary planning security to successfully implement tourism innovations and set sustainable impulses for the region.
