öko:fit Carinthia Environmental and Efficiency Consulting for Businesses and Municipalities

The regional program öko:fit Carinthia promotes targeted environmental and efficiency consulting for companies and public institutions in Carinthia. The focus is particularly on strengthening sustainable resource and environmental management structures in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as the implementation of energy and environmental management systems in e5 or European Energy Award municipalities. Consulting services are funded with a daily rate of up to €650 net, with a funding rate of 69% granted. The project duration is three months, during which potentials for increasing energy efficiency and utilizing renewable energies are identified together with experienced consultants, and tailored measures are developed.

Interested companies and public law entities can apply at any time, provided the business location is in Carinthia and a written funding commitment is obtained before the project starts. After completion of the consulting, a final report including invoices and proof of payment must be submitted within three months before a follow-up funding can be requested. The program is administered by the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 8 – Environment, Nature Conservation and Climate Protection Coordination, in cooperation with Kommunalkredit Public Consulting (KPC), the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Regions and Tourism, and the Carinthian Economic Promotion Fund. With öko:fit Carinthia, a significant contribution can be made to achieving regional climate protection goals and paving the way for a long-term ecologically and economically efficient operation.
