Description

The ÖSPV bus stop funding program of the state of Saxony-Anhalt supports districts and independent cities in implementing a variety of measures to optimize public road passenger transport in an accessible manner. The focus is on the construction and expansion of stops, the installation of static passenger information, as well as the complete initial recording of all stops in the INSA information system. Additionally, pilot projects for accessibility and applications for the independent orientation of blind and visually impaired persons are funded. In doing so, up to 80% (for pilot projects 50%) of eligible expenses can be covered, provided recognized technical standards are met and coordination with disability representatives is ensured. Maximum amounts apply, for example, 12,500 euros per bus stop, 4,500 euros per shelter, or 50,000 euros per tram stop; for software licenses for visual orientation, up to 9,000 euros per transport company are allocated.

Grant recipients are municipal public transport authorities who apply for funds in a consolidated manner and can forward them to construction authorities or transport companies if necessary. A prerequisite is the equipping of at least 25 stops with static passenger information according to network specifications, as well as proof of acoustic signals for visually impaired-friendly applications. Applications must generally be submitted to Nahverkehrsservice Sachsen-Anhalt GmbH by November 30 of the previous year, exceptionally by March 31 of the current year. The comprehensive funding guideline and all required application forms are available digitally to enable a smooth application process and to promote a sustainable, accessible transport infrastructure in Saxony-Anhalt.
