Description
The Open Youth Work funding is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations in Upper Austria that offer child and youth care in the extracurricular sector. The goal is the financial support of projects, measures, and activities that create contact, care, and activity opportunities for young people while taking into account the guidelines of child and youth welfare. Funded initiatives include, among others, open meeting places, leisure initiatives, and low-threshold care concepts. As a recurring funding without fixed submission deadlines, the program allows for flexible planning and implementation of new offerings in both urban and rural areas.
For the application, an informal, content-based request disclosing the association’s finances must be submitted. Additionally, a certificate of suitability according to § 9 Oö. KJHG 2014 as amended must be available, and proof of secure financial conditions must be provided. The grant award depends on the specific funding agreement; usually, original invoices, annual financial statements, and a final performance report must be submitted. Since there are no deadlines, applicants can seek approval at any time and benefit from a transparent, unbureaucratic process. Through this direct funding, the State of Upper Austria makes a sustainable contribution to strengthening open youth work and promoting social cohesion within the federal state.
