Description
The Upper Austrian Multiple Birth Grant is aimed at families residing in Upper Austria who face special challenges due to the birth of multiples. The State of Upper Austria provides a one-time, income-independent cash grant as part of this social support, as well as vouchers for the Mobile Family Services of Caritas. The program’s goal is to reduce the financial burden associated with purchasing baby equipment and childcare costs and to ensure practical support in everyday life. Applications can be submitted continuously until the multiples reach their first birthday; there is no restriction to a fixed application period.
The funding amounts are scaled according to the number of children: For twins, a €550 cash benefit and a €100 voucher are available; for triplets, the grant increases to €1,100 plus a €200 voucher. For each additional multiple, an additional €550 and a €100 voucher are granted. Eligible applicants are Austrian citizens or EU citizens with a shared primary residence in Upper Austria and receiving family allowance. The application is informal via the provided form; no further documents are required. With this measure, the State of Upper Austria supports families during an intensive phase and promotes simultaneous care and provision for multiples.
