Description
The EU-wide call aims to promote innovative research and innovation projects that further develop modern tools, methods, and training concepts for security practitioners. Consortia must consist of at least two police authorities and two NGOs from three different EU or associated countries and demonstrate their expertise in security research and practices. Funding covers, among other things, personnel costs, material and travel expenses, as well as costs for financial support of third parties. Projects are expected to develop validated and proven solutions within 36 months for the prevention, detection, and deterrence of various forms of crime and terrorism, taking into account societal, cultural, and legal frameworks. The funding rate of 100% ensures comprehensive coverage of all project-relevant expenses. The innovations to be achieved include modern data analysis techniques, AI-supported detection methods, and interdisciplinary coordinated awareness campaigns. Submissions must be made via the EU Funding & Tenders Portal by 04/11/2027, 17:00 Brussels time.
Projects must submit interim and final reports on time and may claim all project costs in the form of staff salaries, technical equipment, travel expenses, as well as expenses for third parties. Evaluations are based on the criteria of innovation content, relevance for end users, and interdisciplinary cooperation. The goal is to strengthen the capacities of police authorities, NGOs, and civil society organizations in Europe and to enable practice-oriented exchange among experts. Through the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies and the integration of expertise from different disciplines, a new generation of robust security practices will emerge. Concrete participant trainings and a structured transfer into national security strategies contribute to sustainably increasing the level of security throughout the EU.
