openTransfer Housing (Bürgermut Foundation)

openTransfer wohnen is an initiative of the Stiftung Bürgermut that supports civil society actors nationwide in combating housing and homelessness. The goal is to contribute to the complete overcoming of this social challenge in Germany by 2030. The program promotes sustainable cooperation by organizing the exchange of best practices and providing impulses for new, effective solution approaches. Through regular digital events, including barcamps, webinars, and virtual networking formats, the offer connects expertise from associations, social enterprises, and public institutions, creating space for interdisciplinary knowledge transfer.

It is aimed at non-profit organizations and public sponsors active in the fields of social counseling, social cohesion, democracy promotion, and corporate financing. Employees from administration, politics, and scientific institutions are equally welcome, as are initiative groups that develop innovative concepts and drive implementation forward. There is no fixed deadline for applications – interested parties can continuously apply for funding in the form of grants. Through the combination of practical knowledge, networking opportunities, and methodological impulses, the program becomes a catalyst for long-term impact enhancement. openTransfer wohnen thus enables continuous dialogue and strengthens all participants on their path to realizing affordable housing and protection against homelessness.
