Description
The flat-rate funding for educational events offers nationwide grants for non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, associations, and public institutions. The goal is to strengthen personality and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities, their relatives, and volunteer staff in the fields of education, education for sustainable development, vocational training and further education, as well as social participation. Sponsors can submit applications continuously and implement projects over a period of up to six months. With a maximum amount of €400,000 per project partner and year, seminars and workshops are supported that enable the exchange of information and experiences and create a protected space for empowerment. A prerequisite is the participation of at least six participants and one speaker to ensure encounters on an equal footing.
Eligible for funding are daily flat rates for physical participants amounting to €50/person, virtual days with €30/person, as well as overnight flat rates of €70/person for multi-day in-person events. Costs for ensuring accessibility are covered up to 70%, provided that at least 30% own funds are provided. At least four hours of educational content must be delivered per eligible day, and hybrid formats are funded for on-site attendees with the higher presence flat rate. Online events are limited to a maximum of 50 participants. Excluded are specialist events, one-day courses with less than four hours of educational content, as well as activities without a clear distinction from regular work. The grant rate for daily and overnight flat rates is 100%, and for accessibility-related expenses up to 70%. Applications are submitted digitally via the Aktion Mensch application portal and can be made at any time.
