Description

Personal Assistance at the Workplace supports people with disabilities in Vienna in making their professional everyday life barrier-free. Through a continuously available grant, disability-related support services are covered, particularly in the area of accompaniment and mobility. The funding helps to fulfill contractual obligations and to comply with internal company regulations as well as to successfully complete vocational training. As compensation for functional limitations, it enables self-determined participation in working life and promotes sustainable integration into the general labor market. The financing is provided by the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection and makes a decisive contribution to an inclusive working environment in the field of work & social affairs. By focusing on individual assistance, a tailor-made support package is realized that can be flexibly adapted to different life and work situations.

Funding is granted to private individuals classified from care level 3 onwards, who demonstrate professional and personal suitability for the occupation practiced or aspired to. Prerequisites also include an active employment relationship, self-employment, a concrete job prospect, or job-related training. Cost coverage is limited to personal support services as well as accompanying mobility offers and is provided exclusively through a one-time grant. Applications can be submitted at any time on an ongoing basis, thus offering an unlimited funding opportunity. This targeted financial aid strengthens equal opportunities and sustainably secures existing as well as future employment relationships.
