Personal Assistance

This grant enables people with disabilities in Burgenland to specifically reduce psychological and social barriers to integration into working life or society. It funds personal assistance by qualified professionals who provide advisory support during and after necessary measures, as well as independently of them. The support includes individual accompaniment, psychosocial counseling, and assistance in the appropriate design of living conditions. The source of funding is the state of Burgenland, which guarantees 100 percent coverage of all incurred costs. The service is aimed at private applicants, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and companies that commission suitable service providers.

Eligible are Austrian citizens or equivalent persons with their main residence in Burgenland and a disability as defined in § 18 para. 2 of the Burgenland Social Assistance Act. Applications can be submitted without time limitation, allowing individual funding needs to be met at any time. This continuous funding opportunity enables flexible advisory and support arrangements in the areas of social affairs, health, work & social affairs, as well as consulting & business financing. Through the holistic approach, sustainable solutions for participation are created and everyday barriers are effectively reduced to promote equal opportunity integration into all areas of life.
