Description
The grant "Personnel Expenses for Special Education Kindergarten Groups" supports the indispensable deployment of specialists in special education kindergarten services in Upper Austria. Non-profit organizations in the field of disability assistance receive a 100% funding rate to cover personnel expenses for children and youth with special support needs. Applications can be submitted continuously. A prerequisite is the operation of special education kindergarten groups in accordance with § 33 of the Upper Austrian Child Education and Care Act. Only documentation of supervised children, personnel expenses, medical as well as professional-pedagogical assessments, and detailed documentation of the type and extent of care are eligible for funding.
The aim of this funding is to secure and improve the quality of specialized care services for young people with developmental and support needs. The processing is carried out through monthly cost controls, advance payments, and billing based on actual services provided, supplemented by interim and annual reports as well as on-site spot checks. The funding agency is the Department of Society of the Directorate for Culture and Society in the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government, which has been responsible for this service since November 12, 2013. Through this support, numerous special education groups have already been strengthened and needs-based care enabled, based on sound professional and pedagogical foundations.
