Description

The Peter and Luise Hager Prize honors outstanding master’s and doctoral theses in the field of energy and environmental technology/chemical engineering and process engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In cooperation with the KIT Foundation and the Peter and Luise Hager Foundation, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering at KIT awards excellently rated theses that focus on renewable energies, storage technologies, or grids. With a total endowment of €3,000, the scientific prize specifically promotes scientific commitment, strengthens young talent, and sets impulses for innovations in climate protection and energy efficiency in Baden-Württemberg.

Eligible to participate are graduates who have completed their master’s or doctoral thesis at the KIT Faculty of CIW within the last two years with the grade “very good” and can demonstrate a specific research focus on renewable energies, storage, or grids. The evaluation criteria include the quality, degree of innovation, and relevance of the work to environmental technology and renewable energies. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, letter of recommendation from the supervisor, and a copy of the thesis. The award is presented annually during the Faculty Day in the summer semester.
