Description
The care promotion in accordance with § 15 of the Carinthian Equal Opportunities Act is aimed at people with disabilities in care levels 5 to 7 in Carinthia, who, due to their increased need for care, are permanently dependent on family care. As a direct subsidy measure, it supports continuous care and supervision in the home environment and helps to ensure individual quality of life and participation. The grant is awarded indefinitely, allowing the family environment to plan and organize long-term. Once a year, the requirements must be proven by December 1st to ensure continuous payment for the following calendar year.
Eligible for funding are private individuals with Austrian citizenship, asylum seekers, or those with equivalent residence status, who do not receive any other full- or partial inpatient services or additional financial support (except care allowance and increased family allowance). Applicants submit the completed application form via the municipality, district administrative authority, or online. Required documents include, among others, proof of registration and citizenship, decisions regarding care allowance, work and earning incapacity, as well as evidence of the family care provided and the current net income of all dependents. There must be no earned income, and a maximum of 80 hours of assistance services per month is permitted. An annual review ensures compliance with all funding criteria.
