Description

The Bavarian AIDS Foundation – Association for Health Promotion e.V. offers educational institutions and public organizations in Bavaria free prevention and awareness events on HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Starting from the 8th grade, an interactive program specifically targets adolescents, using videos, film collages, and modular PowerPoint presentations to convey transmission routes, risk assessment, and protective measures in a practical manner. A special focus is placed on discrimination prevention, solidarity, and practical condom use. In parallel, the foundation provides a one-hour training session for employees in the health and service sectors, addressing transmission risks, testing and vaccination options, as well as professional handling of affected individuals. All offerings can be conducted on-site in person or online, depending on needs.

Funding opportunities are continuously available and are aimed at all types of schools as well as health and social service institutions. Participation is free of charge, and appointments can be arranged at any time via inquiry through the contact form or by email. The goal is the sustainable strengthening of health education and prevention in schools and workplaces to promote long-term awareness of sexual health and personal responsibility. Additionally, the Open Studio offers creative exchange formats for people living with HIV and AIDS as well as their relatives. A minimum requirement for school events is the 8th grade. Inquiries can be flexibly coordinated and tailored to the individual needs of the institutions.
