Travel cost subsidies ranging from 100 to 500 euros as well as daily allowances of 10 to 15 euros per internship day are funded, thereby reducing economic barriers. Additionally, placement fees can be covered to facilitate access to suitable farms. The practical experience fosters intercultural competencies and specifically prepares participants for future challenges in rural development. Anchored in the fields of vocational training and further education, education, as well as agriculture and rural development, this funding contributes to the qualification of the next generation in agriculture.

A prerequisite for funding is a minimum age between 16 and 30 years and an internship duration of four to eight weeks. Applications must be submitted before the start of the stay abroad using the official form; payment is made upon receipt of a practical report or project study. In addition to the application form, proof of completed internship and a final documentation are required. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for a flexible process without fixed deadlines. Funding is provided as a direct grant within ongoing funding procedures.
