Description
PRIO1 – the Climate Network is an innovative initiative that enables young people between the ages of 16 and 25 to participate in addressing the climate crisis. The funding is provided in the form of sponsorship and is explicitly aimed at private individuals who wish to engage in the fields of climate protection, environmental/nature conservation, animal welfare, and energy efficiency. Through a modern online community, participants are encouraged to network their ideas, discuss them, and develop solutions for a sustainable future. The focus is on interdisciplinary exchange and the promotion of self-responsible action.
Within the network, young innovators come into contact with experts from business, science, politics, sports, and culture. This platform offers the opportunity to attend participatory events and collaboratively develop creative approaches to climate communication, urban development, agriculture, or mobility in thematic labs. The funding aims to strengthen the intrinsic motivation of young people and actively involve them in shaping sustainable change. The continuous dialogue between the committed participants and experienced actors forms an essential component to initiate long-term and practical change processes.
The ongoing support of PRIO1 ensures that interested youth can join the network at any time and benefit from the diverse offerings. As a central element of the initiatives, interactive exchange is promoted – from online workshops to project presentations where innovative ideas demonstrate concrete paths out of the climate crisis. Through this sponsorship program, the Dietmar Hopp Foundation supports young people in turning their visions into action and actively and sustainably committing to environmental protection. Thus, the Climate Network not only opens new perspectives in climate education but also paves the way for an engaged generation that faces global challenges with solidarity and a future-oriented mindset.
