Description

The program “Women, Career & Studies – Direct Grants” aims to significantly increase the proportion of women in part-time university of applied sciences degree programs in the fields of digitalization, sustainability, and technology in Vienna. To this end, process consultations are offered to accompany the individual study path and, if necessary, supplemented by workshops, pre-qualification courses, and a scholarship. The allocation is carried out unbureaucratically via direct grants by the Vienna Employees’ Promotion Fund (waff). Up to €5,000 are available for qualification measures before the start of studies, up to €12,000 for a part-time bachelor’s degree, and up to €9,000 for a part-time master’s degree. Additionally, study-related events and accompanying qualifications – for example at FH Technikum Wien or Hochschule Campus Wien – are supported to ensure a smooth start and progress of studies.

Eligible for funding are women residing in Vienna who are currently employed more than marginally and are pursuing a university of applied sciences degree in digitalization, sustainability, or technology. Required are proof of study prerequisites (e.g., Matura), a valid residence in Vienna, and a coherent offer according to the award documents. Applications can be submitted at any time; there is no deadline. The financial resources may be used for course fees, tuition fees, teaching materials, reduction of working hours, as well as accompanying workshops. The decision is based on criteria such as professional qualification and proper submission of the offer. The funding paves the way for employed women to successfully realize their career goals in future-oriented fields.
