Description

The program is aimed at public institutions such as cities and municipalities in Baden-Württemberg that wish to implement non-investive measures within the framework of urban development and neighborhood revitalization. The focus is on the accompaniment, support, and consolidation of projects that contribute to the implementation of integrated development concepts and would not be fully realizable without additional funds. Projects from the areas of urban development & urban renewal, infrastructure, smart cities & regions, as well as digitalization are eligible for funding. Grants cover up to 60% of eligible costs, limited to a maximum of €100,000 per redevelopment area. The maximum project duration is 60 months. Measures may only commence after official approval, with applications submitted to the responsible regional council within the framework of annual calls for proposals.

Eligible expenses include, among others, personnel and material costs for neighborhood management, funds from a discretionary fund, as well as other non-investive measures. Specific examples range from leisure and care services for children and youth, integration and inclusion projects, participatory formats for citizens, to measures aimed at improving the district’s image, revitalizing centrally located neighborhoods, and strengthening local supply. Financing is provided on a proportional basis; a combination of various funding modules is possible. The aggregation with other public funds is permitted, but double funding is excluded. The use of official application forms, which must be submitted with the application, is a prerequisite. The funding agency is the Ministry of State Development and Housing Baden-Württemberg.
