Project Proposal Assistance for Refugees

The Iris and Hartmut Jürgens Foundation – Chance for a New Life supports nationwide non-profit initiatives, public institutions, and associations that implement projects for the reception and integration of refugees. Funding is provided for projects with a clear social and democratic focus, which may include small investments, rental costs, participation fees for training sessions, as well as professional consultations or co-financing. All organizations based in Germany are eligible to apply; a continuous submission period allows for the online application to be submitted at any time. The maximum funding amount is 5,000 euros per project and offers flexibly plannable grants for the implementation of sustainable and low-threshold integration services.

Eligible expenses may include the acquisition of furniture, means of transport, or necessary materials, as well as the financing of training for volunteers and professional consultations by legal or social experts. A precise project description and justification of the funding necessity are required in the completed online form. The support is aimed at civil society groups engaged in contributing to the social participation of refugees through creative and effective measures. The financial grant creates a direct leverage to strengthen local networks, ensure sustainability in engagement, and facilitate access to language, employment, and social services for those affected.
