Description
The AUDI Foundation for the Environment GmbH supports non-profit organizations and educational institutions nationwide with continuously available grants for projects that combine environmental education and innovative technologies within a sustainable human-environment system. Funded are initiatives with a model character that address ecological challenges through environmentally friendly technologies, protect biodiversity, and firmly link education for sustainable development with technology concepts. The goal is the development of forward-looking approaches that implement research results in a practical manner and serve as a model for further initiatives.
Eligible applicants are organizations with proof of non-profit status according to § 52 para. 2 AO or a comparable regulation abroad. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, material costs, and project-related technology development. Non-reimbursable are workshops, conferences, image campaigns, public relations, academic theses, or scholarships. An informal project outline (3–4 pages) must include information on objectives, content, duration, costs, and involved project partners and can be submitted by email at any time. Selection is based on innovative use of technology, contribution to a sustainable human-environment system, educational added value, model character, and the translation of research into practical application. After a positive review of the outline, the elaboration and resolution of a detailed application by the shareholders' meeting will follow.
