Description
Project Funding by the Brost Foundation in North Rhine-Westphalia
The Brost Foundation supports innovative and cooperative initiatives that serve the charitable purposes defined in its statutes. Funding is primarily provided for projects in the Ruhr area, and if necessary, nationwide or abroad, particularly in the fields of public health, youth and elderly care, arts and culture, general and vocational education, welfare services, as well as charitable measures. The aim is to strengthen initiatives for children, youth, and the elderly, promote cultural encounters, and expand educational opportunities and social participation. As a grant provider, the Foundation values straightforward, timely support and reviews applications only after all required documents have been submitted.
Eligibility and Application Procedure
Eligible to apply are tax-privileged legal entities under private law (e.g., non-profit associations, charitable limited liability companies, foundations) as well as legal entities under public law (e.g., cities, municipalities, schools, universities). In cooperation, individuals such as artists, musicians, journalists, or scientists may also be supported. Required for application submission are a tax exemption certificate, a completed application form, a financing plan, proof of non-profit status, designation of the responsible contact person, confirmation of reporting obligations, and consent to data storage. Thanks to a digital funding portal, applications can be submitted continuously. After receipt of all documents, a formal review is conducted, followed by the Foundation Board’s decision on full or partial approval. The decision is communicated in a written notice, after which the earmarked disbursement of funds begins.
