Description

The project funding of the Bürgerstiftung Celle supports non-profit institutions, educational establishments, interest groups, and associations based in the city and district of Celle through grants for innovative and sustainable initiatives. Projects are funded in the thematic areas of education and upbringing, art and culture, monument protection, landscape and environmental conservation, international understanding, science and research as well as energy efficiency, climate protection and social cohesion. Applications can be submitted at any time and must be received at least four weeks before the planned project start. Projects that have already commenced will not be funded. The Bürgerstiftung draws its funds from donations, inheritances, interest income, as well as events such as Bürgerbrunch and Bürgerbasar.

The funding objective is to strengthen civic engagement and the sustainable impact of the supported projects. Particular emphasis is placed on exemplary character, innovative approach, and long-term effect. Required for the application are: the completed form “Foerderantrag-1.pdf,” a project description (max. 1 DIN A4 page), a cost and financing plan, and the current tax exemption certificate from the tax office. Following a positive decision by the board (and, if applicable, the foundation council), payment is made upon request, optionally in installments. The Bürgerstiftung Celle assumes responsibility for the proof of use and receipt confirmation in the interest of transparent and cooperative funding practice.
