Description

The project funding of the Bürgerstiftung Hannover is aimed at non-profit institutions, associations, initiatives, and interest groups from the city and region of Hannover and supports innovative projects in the cultural, social, and ecological sectors. A special focus is placed on measures for children and youth, elderly people, individuals with disabilities, hospices and palliative care services, as well as nature and environmental protection projects. Only project-related fees and material costs combined with a proven own contribution are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted year-round via the Bürgerstiftung Hannover’s online form, ensuring a flexible planning period. Early review of the funding guidelines provides transparency regarding funding priorities and exclusions.

A prerequisite for the grant is the non-profit status of the applicants as well as the clear use of the funds for the described project. Commercial projects, ongoing general costs, permanent employment relationships, and structural repairs are not eligible for funding. Projects are evaluated based on their strengthening of self-help, initiative, and personal responsibility, integration of voluntary engagement, and exemplary character within society. Equally important is the traceability of goal achievement and the use of funds exclusively for the precisely specified expenses. To apply, a completed online form, a detailed project description, and proof of own contribution are required. Through this program, the Bürgerstiftung Hannover sustainably promotes social engagement and contributes to the revitalization of social and cultural life in the region.
