Description
The project funding of the Bürgerstiftung Norden is aimed at clubs, non-profit organizations, public institutions, and private individuals in the former district of Norden who are engaged in the areas of children and youth, culture, social affairs, education, commitment to social cohesion, and monument protection. The foundation's goal is to strengthen civic cooperation locally and support sustainable initiatives. Funding is provided for personnel costs, material costs, as well as other expenses directly related to the non-profit project. The selection focuses on the substantive quality of the project description, a clear objective, a well-considered financing concept, and the long-term impact on the region. Projects ranging from German-Polish youth exchanges to the renovation of historic buildings and cultural offerings in the community center have already been co-financed.
An application can be completed online at any time, then signed and submitted by mail. Required documents include, among others, a detailed project description, a detailed breakdown of costs and financing, proof of previous approvals, photos, and, if applicable, the statutes, club register excerpt, and corporate tax exemption certificate. The application guide provides a helpful framework for structuring and supports the formulation of objectives, timeline, and marketing plan. Upon completion of the project, a report on the use of funds is expected, and the foundation requests acknowledgment in public relations. Since 2003, this flexible funding has made an important contribution to the vibrant cultural and social landscape of the region through the Bürgerstiftung Norden.
