Project Funding by the Citizens' Foundation Future Borchen

The Bürgerstiftung Zukunft Borchen supports community-oriented projects throughout the year in the municipality of Borchen. Funding is provided for initiatives in the areas of child and youth welfare, elderly care, social services, sports, culture, environmental and monument protection, as well as education. Eligible recipients include non-profit associations and organizations, foundations, public institutions, and private individuals active in North Rhine-Westphalia who implement their project directly on site. A prerequisite for funding is the execution of the project in Borchen and the use of the provided application form in accordance with the funding guidelines. The foundation’s objectives include strengthening local cohesion, promoting cultural activities, preserving regional traditions, and improving educational and care services for all age groups.

Interested initiatives submit the fully completed application form along with a detailed project description and the funding guidelines. There is no fixed deadline – applications can be submitted at any time. After review by an independent board of trustees, experts decide on the allocation of grants based on the statutes. The Bürgerstiftung places special emphasis on sustainable impact and broad participation. Projects promoting accessibility, climate protection, or local heritage preservation are welcomed, as are innovative educational and sports offerings. Through local funding, the foundation contributes to the long-term enhancement of the municipality’s attractiveness and creates meeting spaces for young and old alike.
