Description
The project funding of the Dortmund Foundation is aimed at non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public bodies based in Dortmund that are active in the fields of education, upbringing, science, research, and culture. With the goal of sustainably empowering young people in Dortmund, the foundation continuously awards grants for projects that promote the knowledge and skills of children, adolescents, students, and young professionals. Since its founding in 2000, the Dortmund Foundation has invested more than 1.8 million euros in local initiatives and, through the voluntary commitment of the board and foundation council, ensures that all donations and proceeds flow directly into project work. Recipients benefit from flexible funding to cover personnel, material, and other expenses in order to realize creative programs and innovative research or cultural projects.
Interested applicants may submit funding applications at any time, as the Dortmund Foundation does not set fixed deadlines. A prerequisite is proof of non-profit status as well as a registered office in Dortmund. Required for the application are, among other things, a current certificate of non-profit status, a detailed project description, a comprehensive financing plan, as well as information on own funds and previous experience with similar projects. Through the continuous and unbureaucratic allocation of funds, the Dortmund Foundation opens up diverse learning and development opportunities for young people and makes a sustainable contribution to the cultural and scientific diversity in the North Rhine-Westphalia region.
