The Heinz and Heide Dürr Foundation supports innovative projects nationwide in the fields of early childhood education, cultural mediation, and scientific research. With a focus on "Early Excellence," the foundation promotes concepts aimed at optimizing educational frameworks and qualifying professionals in daycare centers. In the cultural sector, theater projects, author support, remembrance culture, and interactive cultural mediation formats receive attention. Research projects target rare diseases, energy efficiency, as well as ethical issues in the context of digitalization and artificial intelligence. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public bodies, private individuals, companies, and start-ups. Funding applications can be submitted continuously and informally via email. A prerequisite for application is submission at least three months before the project start date. The application should include a concise project description, a detailed financing plan, and a concrete timeline. On average, feedback is provided within two to three weeks. Through this straightforward application process, the foundation creates space for creative ideas and innovative concepts that contribute to the long-term improvement of quality in education, culture, and research.
