Project Funding of the Ida and Otto Chelius Foundation

The project funding of the Ida and Otto Chelius Foundation supports non-profit organizations, educational institutions, interest groups, as well as public institutions in Freiburg and the surrounding area in implementing attractive offerings for children and adolescents. In the funding areas of artistic-creative promotion, language support, sports, youth vocational assistance, leisure activities, as well as counseling and prevention, the foundation deliberately sets impulses to sustainably strengthen the personal and social development of young people. Projects taking place in daycare centers, schools, or within the framework of youth vocational assistance and leisure education are supported. As a non-repayable grant, this funding aims to enable creative teaching and learning experiences, health-promoting sports activities, and individual counseling measures on site, thereby contributing to equal opportunities in education and participation.

Interested applicants submit a written project description with a detailed cost breakdown. Essential funding requirements are a clear focus on children and adolescents, a location or activity in Freiburg or the immediate vicinity, and a transparent financial overview. The foundation’s board advises and decides on submitted applications at least twice a year, although submissions are possible at any time. In this way, the Ida and Otto Chelius Foundation continuously supports innovative initiatives that make a significant contribution to the regional educational landscape and open up new perspectives for young people.
