Description

The Joachim & Susanne Schulz Foundation supports committed non-profit projects in the regions of Mudau and Amorbach with financial grants. Eligible to apply are registered associations, interest groups, and other non-profit organizations that incorporate voluntary engagement into their initiatives. Funding is provided for projects in the areas of education, culture, sports, social affairs, environmental and nature conservation, energy efficiency & climate protection, vocational training and further education, as well as research & innovation. There are two annual submission deadlines on January 31 and July 31. A prerequisite for funding is recognition of non-profit status, statutory purposes, documented prior use of funds, as well as a detailed cost estimate starting from €1,000 or a financial report for amounts exceeding €10,000. Commercial events, tourism activities, mandatory public sector tasks, capital accumulation for associations, or political groups are not funded.

Allocation is based on clear criteria: model and exemplary character, strengthening civic engagement, meeting social needs, promoting independence and self-responsibility, as well as sustainability. Grants are generally awarded as one-time funding; in exceptional cases, continuous support may be possible. The foundation’s board makes the decision after reviewing all documents in cooperation with the advisory board. Subsequently, proof of use must be provided. Through this funding, the foundation sets impulses for a vibrant community, mobilizes innovative forces, and contributes to the long-term development of the local community.
