Description
The project funding of the state foundation "Together in Hesse" supports initiatives that strengthen social cohesion and promote civic engagement. Non-profit, charitable, and church-related projects based and implemented in Hesse are funded, provided they have a model character or address local service gaps in rural areas. A special focus is placed on managing demographic change and strengthening public services. The foundation offers up to EUR 4,000 per project annually as a grant, covering 30% to a maximum of 50% of the eligible total costs. Retroactive expenses are not reimbursable. A brief project outline (maximum two pages) serves as a preliminary inquiry, after whose positive evaluation a detailed application will be requested. Decisions on all submissions received by July 18, 2026, are expected by the end of August 2026.
Interested private individuals, associations, cooperatives, and public institutions can apply with innovative ideas that demonstrate model character and contribute to the common good. The preliminary inquiry should include information on objectives, target groups, schedule, and financing plan, as well as existing partners or forms of cooperation. Through an uncomplicated procedure and accompanying advice, the foundation promotes creative solutions for municipal infrastructure, social projects, and rural development. This offer provides funding applicants the opportunity to intensify civic engagement and jointly implement forward-looking concepts for Hesse.
