Project Funding by the Quality Juice Foundation

The project funding of the Quality Juice Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, companies, and educational institutions across Europe that are dedicated to research and innovation in the fruit juice industry. The focus is on initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and safety standards of fruit juices as well as measures to promote fair competition and consumer protection. Annual grants of up to EUR 30,000 are allocated to projects that introduce new impulses in areas such as plant health, analytical methods, and technological developments. A flagship exemplary project is HERAKLES, within which sustainable alternatives to the antibiotic streptomycin for combating fire blight were researched and for which funding of EUR 30,000 was approved in 2012.

The funding line offers year-round submission opportunities: after submitting a meaningful project outline with a clear purpose related to quality and safety promotion in the fruit juice sector, funding can be applied for. Targeted are experts from research institutions as well as developers in companies or nonprofit initiatives. In addition to financial support, the Foundation ensures close guidance of applicants and creates transparency in processing and results through reporting and evaluation processes. By combining scientific excellence with practical approaches, the Quality Juice Foundation makes a sustainable contribution to strengthening a healthy and fair fruit juice market in Europe.
