Description
The Schöck Family Foundation gGmbH supports charitable initiatives in Baden-Württemberg as well as sustainable development projects in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Uganda. Under the guiding principle "Future through Education," it funds projects in the areas of primary and vocational education, ecological agriculture, and the creation of livelihoods. In the greater Baden-Baden area, social-pedagogical care and integration projects are also supported. Applications can be submitted continuously; the decision-making bodies meet twice a year. With funding rates of 90% to 100% and annual grants ranging from €10,000 to €50,000, the foundation supports both project costs (personnel, material resources, investments) and study and baseline analyses. Political or religious programs, pure administrative costs, as well as loans and guarantees are excluded from funding. Sustainability, realistic planning, efficiency, and synergies with existing projects are decisive.
Eligible to apply are recognized non-profit corporations, associations, foundations, gGmbHs, municipalities, church congregations, and educational institutions in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland. Development projects must be implemented in cooperation with a locally registered and audited partner organization, including the conclusion of a project contract prior to fund disbursement. The project duration is limited to a maximum of 24 months; a multi-phase overall plan is positively evaluated. For submission, a project outline (maximum 2 DIN A4 pages), a preliminary cost/financing estimate, the latest annual report, and the official application forms are required. Complete applications must be submitted by April 30 or October 31 of a year to enable timely decisions. The foundation places great importance on transparent use of funds and requires proof of use as well as factual and financial reports upon completion.
