Description

The project funding of the Saar Sports Foundation continuously offers grants for innovative sports initiatives in Saarland. The objective is the idealistic and financial strengthening of regional sports – with a special focus on youth development in schools and clubs as well as the inclusion of disabled and disadvantaged individuals. Funding is provided to entities such as educational and social institutions, sports clubs, or non-profit organizations committed to child-appropriate movement programs, club development, and barrier-free sports projects. Thanks to flexible, case-by-case funding, expenses such as the acquisition of play and sports equipment, insurance policies, fees for trainers, public relations measures, or other necessary items can be realized. With this support, the Saar Sports Foundation honors both all-day school concepts and school-club cooperations as well as competitions at the international level and projects that collectively contribute to social cohesion.

For application, a valid certificate of non-profit status and a detailed cost and financing plan are required; membership in the Saar State Sports Association is optional. The application is submitted informally via the provided application form, in which the project is briefly explained, the anticipated total costs are listed, and the use of funds is transparently presented. Since applications can be submitted at any time, current needs in schools and clubs can be addressed promptly. In this way, the Saar Sports Foundation supports committed project sponsors in sustainably advancing sports participation, performance promotion, and social integration.
