Description
The project funding of the Stiftung Berliner Leben is aimed at non-profit organizations, interest groups, associations, public institutions, and educational establishments with projects in Berlin neighborhoods. Applications for the following calendar year can be submitted annually between March 1 and May 31, starting from a funding amount of €10,000. Initiatives in the diverse fields of culture, art and cultural education, youth and elderly care, as well as sports, are supported. The focus is on long-term support to strengthen social cohesion and convey democratic values. The project volume must be at least €10,000, and activities must be implemented within one of Berlin’s neighborhoods. Applications are submitted exclusively online during the specified funding period and are subject to the foundation’s funding guidelines and principles.
The commitment aims in particular to promote children and young people in their personal and professional development, stabilize neighborhoods, and support social balance. Seniors are equally given attention to enable intergenerational encounters. Local clubs and organizations can thus realize their cultural, social, and sporting projects within the neighborhood and contribute to integration and social cohesion. Stiftung Berliner Leben pursues the goal of motivating residents to take responsibility for the common good and actively participate in neighborhood life. Project start is possible no earlier than January 1 of the following year. Interested project sponsors can find detailed information on funding requirements and the application process in the PDF containing the funding guidelines and FAQs.
