Project Funding by the Foundation for Bereavement Support and Funeral Culture Hanover and Lower Saxony

The project funding of the Foundation for Grief Support and Funeral Culture Hanover and Lower Saxony continuously supports non-profit institutions, educational providers, and public organizations in Bremen and Lower Saxony. The focus is on measures in the areas of funeral culture, grief support, hospice work, and palliative care. The projects are intended to have a sustainable impact on the social and cultural environment by supporting training and further education opportunities for professionals and volunteers, as well as formats for accompanying grieving individuals. The one-time granting of a subsidy contributes to strengthening and further developing both innovative approaches and proven concepts.

Eligible are initiatives that focus on the aforementioned thematic areas and are implemented in Bremen or Lower Saxony. Applications can be submitted at any time; detailed funding guidelines and information on the application process are available for download. Hospice service providers, associations, foundations, educational institutions, as well as committed volunteers, can apply for grants to implement qualification measures, publications, public relations projects, and counseling services. The goal is to promote the diversity of funeral culture, competently support grieving individuals, and further expand volunteer engagement. The foundation places special emphasis on a respectful approach to dying, death, and grief and supports projects that make this attitude visible and anchor it in the regional context.
