Description
Project funding from the state of Carinthia in agriculture and forestry is aimed at a diverse group of beneficiaries: private individuals, companies, cooperatives, foundations, as well as public and non-profit organizations and associations may submit applications. The program offers ongoing grants without a fixed end date and supports projects in the areas of agricultural marketing, regional food products, animal welfare, as well as energy efficiency & climate protection. Since 2014, this initiative has contributed to strengthening rural structures and building sustainable value chains. Projects that develop innovative marketing strategies or implement animal-friendly solutions are supported, as are projects aimed at optimizing energy and resource use in agriculture and forestry. Targeted at natural and legal persons engaged in Carinthia, the funding instrument specifically focuses on local potentials.
Since January 1, 2014, the funding measure has been open without a fixed end date. A complete project description must be submitted for application; after a positive funding approval, a declaration of commitment must be signed. Additionally, invoices in accordance with the Value Added Tax Act and payment confirmations must be provided to prove the earmarked use of funds. The decision lies with Department 10 of the Office of the Carinthian State Government, which, as the responsible authority, conducts a factual and economic review of the project. Approved grants can be drawn proportionally for one-time or multi-year measures and enable the implementation of actions to increase energy efficiency, climate protection, and product quality. Thus, the program offers sustainable prospects for stakeholders in rural regions to advance innovative value creation concepts and establish regional food projects.
