Description
The Kalyandjian-Conradt Foundation supports upper secondary schools in the districts of Birkenfeld, Idar-Oberstein, Morbach, Kirn, Bad Sobernheim, and Lauterecken with financial grants for innovative STEM projects. Funding is provided for activities directly aimed at learners of all grade levels, such as student clubs, interdisciplinary teaching projects, excursions to universities and research institutions, as well as the acquisition of necessary software and materials. A funding amount is paid as a one-time grant per project once the actual expenses have been documented. Financing of teacher training, however, is not permitted. This initiative sustainably fosters enthusiasm and interest in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology, creating practical learning opportunities.
Interested upper secondary schools may submit an informal application at any time, including a brief description of the project, an itemized estimate of expected costs, a definition of the target group, and bank details. A prerequisite for approval is proof that the project directly benefits the students and is conducted at a location within the specified districts. The Foundation expects acknowledgment of the funding on the school’s website or in the press. Applications are to be sent by email to the responsible board member and in duplicate by post to the Kalyandjian-Conradt Foundation in Veitsrodt. Through this, the Foundation makes an important contribution to promoting future-oriented education in Rhineland-Palatinate and offers schools the opportunity to convey STEM competencies in a practical and motivating manner.
