Description

The project funding of the Berdelle Foundation for Science, Culture, and Technology supports non-profit private law entities nationwide in sustainably strengthening knowledge transfer and the educational landscape. Innovative initiatives in research, science communication, training and further education, as well as culture, are funded, with a special focus on the natural sciences and technology (including mechanical engineering, medical/biotechnology, pump, fluid, and conveying technology). The foundation awards non-repayable grants for projects characterized, for example, by organizing competitions, awarding prizes, publications, or the organization of lectures and symposia. Non-profit associations, foundations, or societies can submit their applications twice a year by July 31 and October 31 via the foundation’s online form.

The focus is on transparent and purpose-bound use of funds, which must be documented by a usage report upon project completion. The following documents are required for an eligible application: the fully completed application form, a cover letter with a project description (maximum two pages), a detailed financing plan of all participants, the organization’s statutes, and the current tax exemption certificate from the tax authority. After reviewing the documents, the foundation autonomously decides on the allocation of funds. Through this structured funding, the Berdelle Foundation makes an active contribution to the development of forward-looking initiatives at the intersection of science, culture, and technology.
