Project Funding "Helping Helpers"

The Hildegard and Horst Röder Foundation continuously supports non-profit initiatives in Hamburg through its "Helping Helpers" program. The focus is on projects in the areas of education, social affairs, vocational training, and work & social services. Funding is provided to non-profit associations, social enterprises (social entrepreneurship), cultural institutions, and educational establishments that are in the idea phase, implementation stage, or follow-up financing. Additionally, the foundation offers individual case assistance to cover urgent personal needs. This flexible support generates sustainable impulses for neighborhood and social engagement in the Hanseatic city.

Eligible for funding are all organizations with a non-profit status that are based in Hamburg. The funds are granted as subsidies and cover both material and personnel costs. This allows expenses for materials, technical equipment, or fees to be reimbursed. Applications can be submitted informally at any time. A detailed project description, a budget plan, and, if applicable, proof of non-profit status form the basis for the decision. The foundation relies on straightforward procedures to support initiatives promptly and achieve sustainable impact.
