Project Funding Sports Rhineland-Palatinate

The central funding measure, Project Funding Sport Rhineland-Palatinate, serves to financially secure instructors and organizational leaders in non-profit sports clubs and associations. An annual instructor allowance provides funds to sustainably support qualification measures, supervisory tasks, and administrative expenses. A prerequisite for funding is the exercise of a leadership role as an instructor or organizational leader in a sports club or association based in Rhineland-Palatinate, as well as the submission of the application via the State Sports Federation Rhineland-Palatinate. The instructor allowance is made available to clubs as a straightforward grant, minimizing administrative hurdles and consistently promoting volunteer work in sports. Only instructor allowances that are passed directly on to the active participants are funded. The total funding amount per year is up to €3,561,250, enabling needs-based support for sports clubs throughout all regions of the state. The measure is supported by the Ministry of the Interior and for Sport Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the engagement areas Sports, Culture & Media. This instrument aims to strengthen club structures, recognize voluntary commitment, and secure sustainable sports offerings.
