Description

The City of Graz continuously supports community-oriented initiatives within the framework of the General Funding Guidelines through project funding and basic funding. Funding is provided for one-time, clearly defined services in terms of content, time, and scope, as well as for regularly conducted activities that ensure the existence or security of important offerings. Applicants from the Graz city area – whether individuals, companies, or non-profit organizations – may submit their application for a non-repayable grant at any time. Support is granted for projects in the areas of culture, social affairs, education, environmental/nature conservation, sports, research & innovation, science, infrastructure, regional development, culture & media, labor & social affairs, training & further education, energy efficiency & climate protection, urban development, as well as agriculture & rural development.

A prerequisite for funding is that the subject of the funding serves the purposes of the common good and is in the public interest of the City of Graz. Furthermore, the project must be implemented within the city area or have a clear connection to Graz and its residents. Planning must take into account principles such as accessibility, equality, environmental and climate protection, as well as compliance with human rights; discrimination is explicitly excluded. A justification must be attached to the application, particularly highlighting the climate relevance of the project. These funding opportunities strengthen cultural diversity, social participation, and sustainable development in Graz and provide innovative impulses for the urban community.
