Description

Within the framework of the Austrian-Jewish Cultural Heritage, the Federal Chancellery supports national and international initiatives in Vienna that contribute to raising awareness about antisemitism, its prevention, as well as strengthening Jewish cultural and community life. Funding is provided to individuals, enterprises, and non-profit organizations wishing to implement projects related to commemorative culture, anniversaries, or educational and engagement measures. Applications can be submitted at any time; retroactive funding is excluded. The grant is provided as a non-repayable subsidy to cover personnel as well as material, travel, publication, and event costs. In this way, innovative approaches in the fields of training and further education, cultural-political engagement, and work & social affairs are sustainably supported.

Requirements for application processing include a legally valid signed funding request, a detailed project description, a precise cost calculation, and a secured financing plan. Acceptance of the General Funding Conditions is mandatory. Selection is based on the social relevance in the fight against antisemitism, the contribution to social cohesion, the level of innovation, and sustainability. Funding remains open until the budget is exhausted; continuation of project activities beyond the funding period is recommended. Through this program, the Federal Chancellery sends a clear signal for lived diversity and democratic coexistence.
